Also known as Darul Aman which means ‘Abode of Peace,’ Kedah is a state located in the northwestern part of Peninsular, Malaysia. The state is also recognized as Malaysia’s ‘rice bowl’ because its rice plains produce more than half of the country’s supply.
Composed of two parts, the mainland, and the Langkawi Archipelago, the state is an attractive destination for local and international tourists. Langkawi which consists 99 islands has many lush green forests, fantastic sea beaches and amazing landscapes making it as the state’s main attraction.
Kedah has numerous things to offer to visitors and here’s my personal list of top 10 things to do in this beautiful state. My personal pick of stuff to do are mostly in Langkawi, but there are also other destinations from the other places in Kedah.
