It does not only helps you to stay in shape, but it also increases your energy level, boosts your mood and gives you a greater sense of general well-being. Nevertheless, sometimes even the biggest sports enthusiast may find it difficult to motivate themselves and work out after a long day at work.
As we spend most of our days indoor, feeling chained to a desk chair, many of us are looking forward to hitting the gym or other preferred workout class to leave the bustle of the day behind. But despite all the initial motivation, you may sooner or later find yourself trapped in doing the same old routine. And even though this was something you have been always looking forward to, it suddenly became more like a chore instead of something you enjoy.
But hey, if you came to that point let me tell you – you are living in the city of eternal summer. This might be the perfect time to fully exploit the fabulous weather and every so often mix up your routine by exploring new alternatives. Therefore we prepared a guide list of the most exciting outdoor activities in Singapore for the budget under 50 SGD that you should not miss.

Zorbing and Bubble Soccer
Do you keep in mind spheres made from plastic where we put our hamsters, allowing them to run around outside their cages without getting lost? If you have ever wonder how fun that could be, now you can experience it. Zorbing (globe-riding) is a recreation where you are securely strapped inside a transparent plastic ball and rolled down on a grass-covered slop. For some quite time it has been a must-do activity for many adrenaline junkies. But if this seems a bit too scary for you, then it would be better to gather your friends or family together and compete in a novel game called Bubble Soccer instead.
Zorbing
Yes, it is exactly what it sounds like – soccer, played in a bubble. This hybrid between Zorb and Soccer uses a capsule, which is placed on competitors in such a way that covers their upper part of the body and head. The rules applied are similar to those of standard soccer but full contact is allowed. During the two equal halves of 12 minutes, the team that scores more goals is the winner. It seems easy but it actually not as the bubble is pretty heavy, weighing about 13kg. Moreover, keeping on your feet with other competitors continuously bumping into you is quite a mission, not to mention the effort needed to get in standing position after falling over and over and over again.

Paintball
There is no better way to de-stress than being involved in fun activities together with your friends. Paintball is an exciting game in which players of one team seek to eliminate those on an opposing team by tagging them with paint-filled capsules, which are shot from the air powered paintball gun. The numbers of the team members are usually limited only by the size of the field. This is definitely an intense exercise routine as the players run, climb and hide on a game field scattered with the natural or artificial terrain. It is a game that does not only increase your strength, agility and endurance but at the same time test your tactical skills, enhance camaraderie and promotes teamwork.
There are five outdoor locations spread around Singapore to choose from.
Depending on the game goal and field type different scenario can be implemented. Red Dynasty Paintball Park is the largest with three outlets. A war zone battlefield in Sembawang, a field with inflammable walls in Yishun, which also operate at night, and speedball bunkers for players who are interested in playing at competitive levels in Bukit Timah. Increasingly popular School Of Paintball with its concept field with a variety of obstacle and a plentiful scenario is perfect for more tactical games. Meanwhile, Crossfire Paintball offers one of the most innovative experiences as is unlike the others played on a specially sculptured field.

Cable skiing or cable wakeboarding is not new in watersport scene but has only recently come out of the shadows of more famous water skiing. Being a cross between surfing, snowboarding, waterskiing and skateboarding can satisfy even the most demanding sports enthusiast by providing a quick fix of adrenaline. You will need some right balance to pull it off, but once you got it this is one of those sports where you can progress from a beginner to a veteran rapidly. An overhead cable attached to motors is used instead of the boat to pull you around at constant speed on the board.

It is equipped with the full-size cable for more experienced riders as well as beginner-friendly, so called 2.0 system, which is appropriate for adults or kids that are learning to kneeboard or standing on the board. Recreational one are usually powered by a four-stroke engine or electric motors that may reach up to 50 km/h. You can enjoy an adrenaline-infusing head-to-head race with your friends and family members by trying to obtain the best timing for the lap.
To feel the exhilaration of the speed Singapore offers you three different racing tracks. Even though you are not holding a valid driving license, this is not a problem at all!
